Is there a Dr. Phil network that I'm unaware of? Every time I go to the gym it's on and even though I'm listening to music I can't stop reading the closed captioning. Today's episode was about anorexic boys and the guy that looked like a fat bodybuilder at first but is now anorexic is better looking as a waif. Dr. Phil STFU.

5 years today! We have spent the day mostly napping and Ian figuring out we have spent over a year cuddling (including nighttime). We have no groceries, I have eaten only white food today - rice, provolone, and poached eggs. I recently added some orange - OJ and a carrot. I'm in lots of love.

My sister wants me to make her one of these for Christmas (preferably the flesh-coloured one she says).

Can you imagine me wearing this and jumping out from behind the tree on Christmas morning?

It makes me think of The Orphanage.

Can you imagine if there was a magazine article like this written about you?

How weird that would be?

In other news, I have caught the influenza of death.

You know how a really popular pose for models right now is to have their feet turned all the way in?

And people say that if you pose in this pose you're an idiot?

And that it's super fashion-y?

Consider: some of us are naturally pigeon-toed and had to wear LEG BRACES AS A YOUNG CHILD.

While everyone is out partying this weekend I will be writing my exam on a Saturday night. Actually this doesn't really matter because I have $40 and I'm not drinking right now and it's cold out.

I just realized today I have a big nose, a ridiculous beak, a huge schnozz.

1. I am addicted to crocheting, I have made one and a half hats.
2. My index finger on my left hand is peeling right off. It looks like the finger of a zombie. I am currently applying a steroid cortizone cream to it nightly. Tonight I am going to smear my hand with pure cocoa butter and steroids and then insert it into a glove to cook overnight.
3. I am taking care of my sick boyfriend: in a sick way it makes me want to have children.
4. I have discovered the joys of baking bread. But note that challah is really hard to make.
5. I cut my bangs too short the other day with dull scissors, I look like an idiot.
6. I have a good gym routine going: 25 minutes of all uphill exercise bike, 20 minutes of stair master, and then a 25 minute brisk jaunt on the treadmill to make my legs have feeling again.
7. I have the most wicked present ever planned for Ian.
8. One of my best friends ever is coming home soon from gay Paris.
9. I still have to write my exams, two exams, on Saturday and Monday night.
10. I have vowed to get up early tomorrow for gym/study.
11. I was reading this book about homeopathic (I just wrote homopathic) medicine and I'm going to do this 2 day detox thing every month (not to lose weight, I'm not a retard) where you eat all raw food and drink 72348973 cups of lemon or ginger in the hottest water you can stand. I think I need this as I tend to eat a healthy, but weird, diet (ie: relish sandwiches, a whole head of iceberg lettuce, etc.)

As I typed this I rubbed my itchy zombie finger so hard it is now shiny. I buffed my own finger.

Hand in little oven. )

I'm kind of glad I was never one of those young wanton ladies to host a party entitled:

Deck The Halls You Ho ho hos!
All we want for christmas is to get fucked up!

I'm in a Coke Zero phase, it comes and goes, like a melting melancholy.

My sister and I have decided to make a mainly food blog but also sometimes include her art work and things I make, such as crocheted hats. When we put it together I will posssst.

I made the decision not to use my computer this weekend (besides checking my email occasionally) and I got SO much done. I cleaned on Saturday and had a lovely time with Ian and Iva and Gabrielle came over and that was nice. Today we went grocery shopping, I rearranged all of my cupboards, and made:

2 calzones (1 to freeze, 1 for dinner tonight) with vegetarian Italian tomato sauce, roasted garlic, Parmesan, and roasted red pepper (ah! my first time making yeasted pizza dough, luckily I was successful)
6 burritos with homemade refried beans and brown rice/tomatoes/zucchini/sweet peppers/jalapeno/cumin (all to freeze)
3 giant containers of the aforementioned tomato sauce to freeze

I wish I was better at taking pictures, I really want to start a vegetarian food blog.

I was listening to Gion Gemeshi on CBC a while ago and he was listening to this epic Hollywood insider who has been in the business for like 4387 years and he was going on about how all celebrities are fake assholes but the only one (weird) who was genuinely professional/nice was Celine Dion and all I could think of was this:

I'm going to sound like a dick here, but a new favourite thing of mine is to go for walks in the leaves and listen to Crime and Punishment being read by a stern British man.

I'm going to start working out again, I feel kind of haywire. I need a regular sleep schedule. I need to read more for school. I haven't been drinking or else I'd say that. I just downloaded a whole bunch of books on tape about evolutionary biology and the complete Alfred Hitchcock radio program.

So all of a sudden I have three Halloween parties to attend on Friday but I'm going to be responsible (I think) and stay in to study for three midterms next week. And I don't have a costume.

I've been analyzing my food intake over at nutritiondata.com to figure out what kind of nutrients I'm lacking in/being amazing at. Calcium is a big one for me, I think drinking milk is absolutely disgusting (I always have, this isn't some sort of pseudo-vegan rant - my mom refused to give us cow's milk when we were little) and I don't really eat cheese at all or yogurt or anything like that... So tonight for dinner I had a cup of the chili that I made last night that had about 7987987 lbs. of beans in it and an additional cup of steamed bok choy (apparently a good source of calcium) with 1/4 cup of baked tofu. This still puts me at only 44% of my recommended daily intake. I'm also lacking in my iron intake and I don't really know where to get that from - I'll admit I've been eating some meat but very rarely and I don't like greens very much. Although I do like Swiss Chard. This has to be the most asinine post I've made in a while.

I just had the most amazing breakfast (only breakfast because I just got up) of my life:
2 poached eggs
1 piece of flax seed bread with almond butter and honey
1/2 an avocado
1/2 a tomato (both with salt and pepper on them)
a cup of tea
